On the Jetty

Under a slate-grey sky and the clouds pregnant with precipitation, this hardened fisherman is standing his ground in the hope of snagging some tasty morsel for his weekend supper! Ah, what delights and wonders swim submerged in the murky brine. This is at Shorncliffe, a suburb just north of Brisbane. Have a great weekend wherever you are.

I love fishing. You put that line in the water and you don't know what's on the other end. Your imagination is under there. ~Robert Altman

Brr, this makes me want to turn up my collar, button my raincoat and head inside to sip wine nearby and watch the surf.

Thanks for your compliments in Avignon, much appreciated.
I enjoy seeing Brisbane through your eyes too. Loved that kookaburra of a few days - never saw such close-up shot before. Aren't they wonderful ? I miss their laugh. I hope you had a wonderful Australia Day - that row of flags was a winner!
Have a great weekend and keep the great shots coming. I could use some time at your riverside beach, sigh !

Even though it looks cold and miserable it was 28c (82F) and humid. But sipping a glass of chilled white wine sounds an excellent idea V.

Thanks...a lot of people really don't like this weather but I rather enjoy it, especially the dark skies.
