Although the jacaranda's are coming to an end here in Brisbane, I was fortunate enough to find this clump of trees still in full bloom. We are blessed with so many of these trees in the city, and if you are lucky enough to get to a high vantage point you can see the haze of purple across the city suburbs.

Not much can make me homesick at the moment as I'm having such a great time OS, but this does! Currently in slightly snowy NYC (snow was yesterday and now almost gone).
I'm not sure if it's me or not, but the jacaranda's seem to have been more magnificent this year...a far cry from snowy and cold NYC!
I love these trees so much - it's one of the things I'm looking forward to coming back to Brissie for.
