Alex Bay

Alexandria Bay is often just known as Alex Bay and is a beautiful stretch of golden sand here in Noosa National Park. This is an unofficial 'clothes optional' (nudist) beach, and with this glorious weather you'd need a lot of sunscreen! We'll be returning to Brisbane tomorrow, so hope you have enjoyed the short trip here to the coast. Have a good week.

Hell's Gates

On a beautiful day like this it seems that this inlet has been given the wrong name; 'Hell's Gates'. On this visit there were sea turtles swimming around the calm waters, but I've seen it when there is an angry grey swell, and it could well be the entrance to Hades.

When the sun is shining and the water is so inviting, what better way to cool down than jumping into the 'Boiling Pot'.

This small inlet of water is called The Boiling Pot, aptly named as the sea washes in and out, stirring up a lather.

Tea Tree Bay

So, here we are on a walk along the coastline of Noosa National Park. Noosa is a small town, very popular with locals and tourists, about 140kms north of Brisbane. This chunk of dramatic rocky coast jutts into the ocean, dotted with sheltered beaches and coves, and a backdrop of tranquil rainforest, open forest, scrubland and grasslands. If you think the picture has been 'doctored', forget it! The ocean really was this clear and blue.
